Andrews McMeel Universal named Champion of Business

The Kansas City Business Journal recently announced that Andrews McMeel Universal has been chosen as one of 15 companies honored as a 2018 Champion of Business. The program honors growing companies that are rooted in Kansas City and help the community thrive. Champions of Business winners are “leaders in their industry, innovative and committed to giving back to the community.”

“We are thrilled to be included in such an esteemed group of innovative and successful business leaders,” said Andy Sareyan, CEO of Andrews McMeel Universal. “A large part of Andrews McMeel’s success is attributed to our Kansas City roots. To be recognized as a part of this program feels particularly auspicious as we look forward — to the future and to new ways to give back to the community.”

Champions of Business are chosen by a panel of judges and must be headquartered in the Kansas City area, be in business at least three years and earn gross revenue of at least $3 million. An award luncheon will honor this year’s winners on May 4, and profiles of each company will be published that day in the print and online editions of the Kansas City Business Journal.
