Summer sales soar at B&N

Barnes & Noble stores across the country are featuring some familiar AMP faces this summer. Books from the Big Nate and Phoebe and Her Unicorn series line the walls in the children’s section. Less than one week after the displays went up in May, B&N had to reorder more than 56,000 units of the AMP titles because they were selling out so fast.

Both series are very popular and have large reader followings. Author Lincoln Peirce began drawing the Big Nate comic strip more than 25 years ago, and has since published nearly 30 children’s collections, such as Big Nate Payback Time! and Big Nate Goes Bananas! Dana Simpson’s Phoebe and Her Unicorn began as a webcomic on GoComics in 2012, and her 10^th book, The Unicorn Whisperer, is due out in October 2019.
