Kansas City, MO (March 6, 2023) Kristin Clark Taylor, an award-winning journalist, author, and editor, joins UExpress March 6th with a new advice column, Take My Hand.

The weekly column offers old-school wisdom viewed through a modern-day sensibility and a gentle spiritual grounding. It will answer specific reader questions, but will also provide a more expansive, solution-driven exploration of the issues and challenges readers face in today’s complex world.

“It is my hope that my words — sometimes inspired by poignant childhood memories and musings, other times informed by how I cope with the joys and challenges in my own life, but always rooted in the simple beauty of truth and light — will offer an outstretched hand of comfort, compassion, and emotional companionship,” says Taylor.

The column will be available for digital syndication, and will appear weekly on the UExpress website.

A veteran journalist, Taylor is a founding member of USA Today’s original creation and launch team and currently serves on the newspaper’s Board of Contributing Editors. Her work — always uplifting, always revelatory — has appeared in numerous other major publications as well. She is the author of four books of non-fiction and has ghostwritten and edited books for CEOs, thought leaders, and visionaries in many different genres. In addition to these accomplishments, she served as White House Director of Media Relations under President George H.W. Bush, the first Black woman to hold the post. Taylor is also an ordained minister, a mindfulness practitioner, and a bright beacon in the spiritual community.
