Catana Comics’ ‘Snug’ soars

Fueled by a robust tour with capacity crowds from coast to coast, Catana Chetwynd’s Snug catapulted to bestseller lists shortly after its Feb. 4 publication date. Snug is No. 1 on The New York Times Best Seller List, and has made Publisher’s Weekly, Sunday Times, Toronto Star, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestsellers lists.

In its first two months, Snug has sold 130,000 copies and is already in its second printing. Catana and her fiancé, John, enthusiastically greeted hundreds of fans on their 12-city U.S. tour. They entertained with humorous, self-deprecating and endearing stories about their relationship and answered questions from the crowd.

Fans waited hours as each person (usually a couple) got their book signed with a personal note and comic drawing from Catana. There was even a marriage proposal by fans in Toronto! The tour kicked off Feb. 4 in Catana’s hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, at Malaprop’s Books, and continued through Feb. 25, ending in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at Magers and Quinn. The complete tour is outlined below. Unfortunately, the extension of the tour in the U.K., beginning March 5, had to be postponed.

Notable reviews of Snug have appeared on multiple media outlets, including HuffPost and CBR, and the book trailer was on display at Target stores across the country.
