Rupi Kaur kicks off “America” tour; Celebrates book milestone

Entertaining, inspiring and captivating, Rupi Kaur launched her America tour with two sold-out shows at the Town Hall in New York City on Sept. 26 and 27. With a distinctive fusion of spoken word, poetry, compelling visuals (including family photos) and music, Rupi charmed audiences through personal stories and wry humor, lifted hearts in the spirit of a gospel singer, and enthralled all with her unique theatrical presence.

Fans were thrilled, greeting her with resounding applause, vocal cheers, finger snaps and standing ovations. Her tour continues with stops in Madison, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and Miami, wrapping up with two sold-out shows in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 29 and 30.

Rupi celebrated another big milestone this week as the sun and her flowers hit its one-year anniversary on The New York Times Best Sellers List at No. 12. Her first book, milk and honey, moved up a spot to No. 9 (week 129).
