Darby Conley first sketched the characters Bucky, Satchel, and Rob in 1996. The strip has been syndicated since 1999 and now appears in over 650 newspapers worldwide. A childhood pet named Patch became the inspiration for his comics about talking animals. Darby lives in the Boston area.
