"In my opinion, it's terrific." —Scott Adams, Dilbert

Sherlock Homes and Doctor Watson. Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Bert and Ernie. Our culture is full of famous friendships, and now there are two newcomers ready to take their places amongst the world's great pairs.

From cartoonist Mark Leiknes comes Cow & Boy (Andrews McMeel Publishing, $12.99), the first collection of his up and coming comic strip. Examining what it means to have a best friend without being overly sentimental, Cow & Boy takes you on adventures inside the imaginations of Billy and Cow, the new dynamic duo of inter-species friendships. Join them for afternoon discussions about reincarnation, unsuccessful beard growing contests, and excursions to Billy's favorite fishing hole.

This fresh and quirky collection solidly establishes Cow & Boy as a unique kind of cartoon. After spending an afternoon with Cow & Boy, you'll see why this fantastic new strip is already featured in more than 100 daily newspapers. It's sure to have you ruminating about life's simple pleasures, and laughing at the antics of a boy named Billy and his bovine best friend.

About Mark Leiknes

Mark Leiknes

Living at a frantic Los Angeles pace, Mark Leiknes and his wife dreamed of sitting on the porch of a Midwestern farmhouse, sipping iced tea, and watching their kids play in the open fields nearby. With the birth of his daughter, Mark set that plan into motion with the creation of Cow and Boy. The family has now happily relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
