KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 17, 2018)—GoComics is thrilled to announce that Pillow Talk, by Joshua O. and David M., is the winner of GoComics’ first-ever Short Shorts Animation Contest, sponsored by Andrews McMeel Universal.

The contest invited experienced and aspiring animators to submit one original short-form animated video for a chance to win $25,000. A panel of judges reviewed all submissions to select 10 semi-finalists, then an online public vote determined the three finalists. Pillow Talk was chosen as the Grand Prize winner by a second panel of prestigious judges (Lalo Alcaraz, Steve Martino, Glenn McCoy and Ann Telnaes).

Congratulations to all creators who submitted an animation. Click here to view the winning video, as well as the other nine finalists. Read a Q&A with Josh, the “brains” behind the winning animation.
